An Agra with a quiet, washed-blue ground that reads almost neutral across a worn field. Scattered floral medallions and soft arabesques emerge through layers of wear, their forms reduced to a painterly suggestion. A warm rust floral border frames the piece, its colour mellowed against cream highlights. High distress and pronounced abrash give the wool a luminous, suede-like surface and an honest, archival presence. This antique rug is tactile and restrained, measured at 8' 7" x 11' 4" and showing a history of use that reads as material refinement. Circa 1900 - 1920.
