A measured, tactile Afghan in deep brown and cream, this antique rug reads as time-softened and intentional. The field arranges repeated geometric guls in ordered rows, punctuated by small star-like fillers and a multi-strand chained border. Wool pile retains a low, even texture where abrasion has warmed the brown to subtle tonal shifts. The cream guls read bright against the worn field, offering quiet contrast and rhythm across the surface. Circa 1900 - 1950. Measures 4' 7" x 7' 7" and carries the lived-in patina of slow use and careful craft.
