This Agra antique rug measures 22' 3" x 24' 2", with a broad field rendered in faded cream, white, and washed aqua tones. The allover floral composition reads as softly dispersed palmettes, blossoms, and vinework, held within a restrained border that remains visible despite the wear. High distress has mellowed the design into a quiet, layered surface with areas of abrasion and gentle loss that add depth rather than distraction. Circa 1910 - 1935, it carries the calm, weathered presence that defines a well-aged Agra and its refined decorative language.
