This Turkish Jajim measures 6' 8" x 9' 0" and presents a calm, textural field of softened neutral tones punctuated by small diamond and lozenge motifs in red and gold. Circa 1955 - 1970, it has an airy, handwoven rhythm that feels both restrained and expressive, with horizontal striations lending the surface a quiet sense of movement. The composition leaves generous open space between the motifs, allowing the subtle variation in tone and weave to read beautifully.
