This Mahal antique rug in wool measures 9' 7" x 13' 1" and carries the generous, layered character associated with the type. A rust red field is threaded with muted blue, olive, cream, and brown, creating an all-over floral composition of scrolling vines, palmettes, and medallion-like blossoms. The border remains legible, though softened by age, with visible wear that lends the surface a quiet, timeworn patina.
