This Mahal antique rug measures 10' 6" x 16' 4" and carries the softened grandeur of a well-aged field piece. A large diamond medallion settles into a washed ground of blue, cream, and neutral tones, while the border retains traces of floral detail and warm terracotta accents. The overall composition is deeply faded, with high wear that has blurred the pattern into a quiet, layered surface. Circa 1905 - 1920, it reads as tactile and timeworn, with the kind of visual depth that comes from decades of gentle use and natural patina.
