This vintage oushak measures 3' 5" x 4' 8" and carries a richly layered field of red, warm neutral, and muted blue. Circa 1885 - 1900, its composition balances a prayer-niche form with floral and geometric borders, giving the rug a collected, architectural presence. The surface shows pronounced wear, including an open central hole, visible fading, and areas of pile loss that soften the drawing and reveal its age. Even with that distress, the motif remains legible and compelling, with a grounded palette that feels especially suited to intimate spaces. This vintage rug retains a considered, tactile character.
