This Mahal antique rug measures 13' 0" x 22' 6" and carries the quiet presence of a field that has been softened by time. The allover floral layout is now almost watercolor-like, with a faded border, palmette traces, and vine fragments drifting through a sand, ivory, and taupe ground. Hints of muted teal and rust remain within the worn composition, adding depth to the surface. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reads as a refined study in restraint, where age, abrasion, and tonal movement have become part of the design language.
