This Mahal antique rug measures 7' 9" x 10' 3" and carries an allover floral field softened by age into a layered composition of scrolling vines, rosettes, and small geometric accents. Browns, cream, white, and muted green tones are threaded with touches of faded rust and pale blue, giving the surface a quiet, weathered depth. The border remains legible, though gently worn, and the whole piece reads with balanced symmetry and irregular character. Circa 1925 - 1940, it holds the lived-in warmth and nuanced fading that define a well-aged Mahal.
