A classic Mahal worked in wool, its 9' 1" x 10' 2" field reads warm and resonant. A repeating medallion-lattice and stylised floral rosettes animate the red ground, threaded with cream and white accents that give the composition crisp clarity. The wool retains a soft tactile presence and shows low, even wear that preserves pile and pattern. Layered borders frame the field in neutral tones, their tonal shifts gentle and measured. This antique rug balances disciplined geometry and organic floral play, its surface mellowed to a soft patina. Circa 1900 - 1915
