An elegant Ravar Kerman in a softened palette, woven in wool with an antique rug’s quiet authority. A large, faded central medallion rests within a dense field of palmettes, boteh motifs and small floral sprays, framed by a multi-band border punctuated with cartouches and calligraphic panels. Muted blues and greens sit against warm neutrals as areas of abrash and surface thinning reveal a layered, timeworn surface. The composition remains legible despite medium wear, its tactile patina offering a restrained, museum-like presence. Measures 9' 0" x 11' 0". Circa 1885 - 1905
