An Agra in a restrained neutral spectrum, this antique rug reads as quietly architectural. A large elongated medallion sits within a stepped field, its floral vines and articulated spandrels resolved in warm beiges, softened tan and muted mauve accents. The wool pile shows medium wear and gentle abrash that deepen the patina and highlight carved motifs; borders remain well defined though softly worn. The scale is generous at 8' 4" x 14' 6", lending a measured presence without showiness. Circa 1905 - 1935. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
