An Agra rug in a whisper-soft neutral palette, handwoven in wool with a pale cream field punctuated by five laurel wreath medallions, one central and four at the periphery. A broad scroll-and-palmette border carries faded tones of dusty rose and muted mauve against ivory, the motifs softened by even abrasion and gentle abrash. At 14' 0" x 22' 8" the scale reads like an architectural textile, the pile flattened and tender from use. This antique rug shows medium distress yet retains a refined, low-contrast presence that feels quietly historic and tactile. Circa 1900 - 1915.
