A quiet, large Agra with a soft cream field and an oval floral medallion rendered in muted reds and rose tones. The wool pile reads as a subtle, tactile neutral interrupted by delicate floral garlands and a scrolling vine border. Surface wear is even, lending the design a gentle patina and a grounded sense of age. The piece measures 15' 3" x 17' 10" and retains a refined, restrained palette that highlights the medallion and corner spandrels. Circa 1885 - 1900, this antique rug carries medium distress and the soft abrash that comes with long use and considered restoration.
