This Ravar Kerman is a broad-loom wool composition, 8' 8" x 17' 7", rendered in an ivory-cream ground with discreet blue palmettes and scrolling floral arabesques. The central register reads as a soft, almost ghosted medallion; pattern lines are softened by even abrash and medium surface wear that reveal a tactile, low-contrast palette. Repeating palmette and vine motifs in the borders frame the field with quiet rhythm. The hand of age is apparent yet refined, areas of faded pigment and gentle pile loss lending the antique rug a serene, collected character. Circa 1885 - 1905.
