An elegant Tabriz in soft golds and brown, handwoven in wool and composed around a classical central medallion threaded with floral arabesques. The 4' 3" x 5' 5" piece shows a well-aged patina, with medium distress and even abrash that settles the palette into muted neutrals and navy accents. Layered borders and narrow guard bands frame the central field while the worn pile reads tactile and low lustre. Small areas of softened fringe and subtle threadbare spots attest to period use, lending the piece a quiet, domestic character. This antique rug balances refined design and visible age in equal measure. Circa 1900 - 1920
