An expansive Agra in wool with a faded teal-blue ground and layered floral registers, this antique rug measures 19' 2" x 37' 4". The field reads as a stitched garden of repeating stylised trees, palmettes and delicate sprigs set against horizontal abrash. Cream and neutral highlights, with restrained warm accents, give the composition depth while a narrow foliate border frames the scene. Surface wear is consistent with medium distress, softening motifs and creating a tactile, timeworn patina. Circa 1900 - 1920 The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
