This Ravar Kerman reads as a quietly monumental antique rug, its large-scale medallions and minute floral reserve softened by time. Woven in wool, the field holds layered brown and beige tones punctuated by muted red and soft blue-green accents. A scalloped guard border of repeating roundels frames the composition while visible abrash and horizontal wear lend a storied surface texture. The piece remains remarkably coherent at 14' 8" x 23' 0", its palette distilled to whispering neutrals and faded colour. Circa 1900 - 1915, the rug retains an elegant, tactile presence despite medium wear and delicate areas of restoration.
