A commanding Agra in generous scale, this antique rug measures 25' 0" x 29' 5" and presents a saturated red field punctuated by a deep navy central medallion. Scrolling floral arabesques enliven the ground while neutral and brown accents ​​temper the palette. The broad, ornate border frames the composition with denser floral motifs, lending visual weight and balance. Surface distress is low; the pile retains clarity and a soft, even patina that reads as age tempered by care. The overall effect is tactile and composed, an instance of period craft held in restraint. Circa 1900 - 1915
