A large Ravar Kerman in a restrained neutral, blue, cream and white palette, the field laid out in a repeating medallion lattice punctuated by floral and palmette vines. Multiple guard borders provide a formal frame while time has softened dyes to a luminous, near-pastel register. Surface wear and abrash read as a gentle patina; the wool remains tactile beneath medium distress. This antique rug measures 17' 8" x 24' 4" and carries a sense of age and craft that is both quiet and composed. Circa 1935 - 1950. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
