A Ravar Kerman rendered in a soft, neutral register; this antique rug measures 16' 6" x 22' 3". The field reads like a faded fresco, palmettes and arabesques outlined in cream, soft blue and muted terracotta beneath layers of wear. Time has introduced gentle abrash and even surface loss, particularly along a central fold, which lends the piece a tactile, lived-in patina. The wool construction keeps the pattern low-contrast and textural while the floral guard border frames the expansive allover composition. Circa 1910 - 1930. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
