This Agra presents a broad ivory field worked in a dense floral lattice of small palmettes and flowering vines, the motifs rendered in soft brown and faded rose on a cream ground. A wide, faded-rose main border and layered guard bands frame the field; subtle abrash and areas of wear give the surface a patinated, tactile quality. Woven in wool, the pile has relaxed to a low, supple hand with scattered surface loss that reads as quiet history. This antique rug holds the grammar of classical Agra design while wearing the marks of time. Circa 1925 - 1940. Measurements: 10' 1" x 13' 2".
