An Agra wool with a soft, aged presence and a restrained neutral palette of gold, cream and white. The composition centers on a large medallion with linked secondary lozenges and a field of fine floral sprays that radiate toward scalloped corner spandrels. Multiple guarded borders frame the whole, their patterning mellowed by time. The surface shows medium distress and a softened pile that reads as patina rather than loss; subtle abrash and even fading give the piece atmosphere. This antique rug measures 15' 0" x 19' 9".
