An elegant Mahal woven in wool, this 10' 7" x 14' 0" example reads as a layered study of pattern and time. A warm red ground hosts an all-over arrangement of serrated palmettes, scrolling vines and small rosettes, set against soft blue and neutral highlights and a deep navy floral border. The pile shows low, even wear that mellows the palette while retaining the clarity of motifs. The piece carries the measured restraint of traditional workshop geometry and a tactile surface that invites close inspection. An antique rug with composed presence, Circa 1885 - 1915.
