A Ravar Kerman of generous scale, this antique rug measures 13' 4" x 18' 10" and reads as an elegant study in restrained colour and pattern. A repeating palmette and boteh lattice fills the field, its small floral fill and arabesque connectors set against softened green and neutral tones with a muted red ground. Multiple guard borders lead to a broad scrolling palmette outer border; the surface shows low distress and gentle abrash that deepens the weave's hand and presence. Circa 1920 - 1940. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
