This Mahal runner, 6' 2" x 12' 8", presents an aged all-over floral network in a muted neutral and cream palette. Woven in wool, the field resolves into a tight lattice of small palmettes and scrolling arabesques, framed by layered guard borders that retain soft abrasion. The surface shows medium wear that warms ivories to honeyed cream and draws the blues toward slate, creating a tactile, time-softened patina. The balance of dense pattern and faded ground gives the piece a quietly architectural presence. Circa 1900 - 1930. An antique rug that reads as textile history and measured design.
