An Agra in wool, this compact antique rug reads like a cultivated garden panel. A dark, near‑black ground sets off twin columnar motifs, a central vase and stylised birds and deer, while an ivory guard border provides calm contrast. Greens and muted browns settle into the weave with small teal and rust highlights; the surface shows low distress and a soft, velvety pile. Circa 1910 - 1925. Measurements: 4' 5" x 6' 5". The composition balances formal symmetry with hand-drawn irregularity, a quietly rich example of Agra design and tactility.
