A narrow Heriz runner in wool, this 2' 0" x 9' 0" antique rug reads as a study in colour and rhythm. A warm red ground carries coral-pink palmettes, sky-blue accents and small cream rosettes arranged in a central running chain. The hand-worn surface is restrained, with low abrasion and a soft, tactile pile that reveals gentle abrash and clarity in the pale blue guard borders. The composition retains a lively, geometric energy while feeling quietly aged, its palette and texture suited to a considered interior sensibility. Circa 1900 - 1915.
