An Agra rug in wool that reads like a worn heirloom. A large, slightly stepped central medallion emerges in a faded red against a soft cream field, surrounded by an ornate floral border rendered in taupe and brown. Surface abrasion and selective fading have reduced the original palette to a quiet, tactile wash while the wool retains subtle texture. The composition shows even abrash and medium distress, lending the piece an honest, lived-in character. This antique rug balances presence with restraint, a study in patina and craft.
