This Mahal is a quietly patterned wool field measuring 8' 7" x 12' 7". A warm neutral ground carries a repeating boteh-leaning motif, small floral rosettes and angled spandrels that organize the composition. The palette reads cream and tan with restrained brown accents and subtle grey-blue secondary notes. Low wear preserves a tactile, supple pile and a soft patina that reads as layered age. An antique rug of composed scale and disciplined border work, it shows the craft of regional weaving without theatrical distress.
