This Ravar Kerman presents a whisper-soft, highly faded allover design in wool, its repeating boteh and palmette motifs barely reading through a bleached, neutral field. The layered borders retain delicate floral vines and a restrained colour palette of cream, beige and brown with hints of faded rose and sage. Heavy surface wear and abrash lend the piece a patinated, tactile character that speaks to age and use. The scale is generous at 9' 8" x 15' 3", and the piece reads as an antique rug with a quiet, archival presence. Circa 1925 - 1940.
