The 8' 6" x 11' 7" composition balances a stepped central motif with angular palmettes and a wide foliate border worked in deep blue and soft white highlights. Low distress keeps the pile and pattern intact; subtle abrash across the field adds depth without obscuring design. The handwoven surface shows patient craft and a tactile, low-sheen wool finish that accentuates the rug's graphic structure. Circa 1900 - 1915.
