An Agra in wool with a quietly worn presence, this antique rug measures 8' 0" x 10' 0" and reads as a softened textile shaped by time. A broad floral border frames a field of stylised palmettes and angular botanical motifs, all rendered in a neutral, cream ground. Medium distress and even abrash give the surface a mellow patina, softening lines and lifting the woven motifs into low-contrast relief. The hand is supple and tactile, the composition balanced between ornament and restraint. Circa 1900 - 1920, the piece evidences age and careful use without ostentation.
