An elegant Heriz in wool, this antique rug measures 10' 2" x 13' 6" and reads as a study in saturated blue and warm neutrals. A commanding geometric medallion anchors a field of angular palmettes and stepped cartouches, while a deep indigo guard border frames the composition. The pile shows low, even wear, preserving crisp motifs and a tactile, substantial hand. Colour remains lively with subtle abrash across the blue fields and restrained fading to the ivory highlights, giving the piece a composed, heritage-aware presence. Circa 1885 - 1900. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
