An elegant Mahal in wool, 8' 2" x 12' 2", with a softened central floral medallion and a scrolling vine field in layered neutrals. The palette reads warm brown, cream and white with muted rust accents; surface wear and abrash expose a luminous ground that makes the original motifs read with quiet clarity. Medium distress gives the rug a tactile, timeworn patina while in-house conservation has preserved the border definition and overall silhouette. This antique rug carries a restrained, heritage-aware presence that favours material depth over flash. Circa 1900 - 1920.
