A long Gharajeh runner in wool, its 2' 7" x 24' 3" proportions read as a procession of geometric medallions on a saturated red field. Navy and ivory centres punctuate a warm palette of rust and brown, while small star and floral fillers maintain kinetic balance. The pile shows low distress and even wear, with subtle abrash that lends an aged depth rather than loss. This antique rug retains crisp motif definition and a tactile surface that highlights village weaving vocabulary and restrained colouration. Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
