An elegant Turkish wool piece, this antique rug measures 3' 3" x 4' 0" and presents a saturated red field punctuated by cream rosettes and neutral detailing. A central geometric medallion and stepped lozenge motifs sit within a repeating angular border, the vocabulary of village weaving rendered with restrained clarity. The pile shows low wear and a gentle abrash that softens colour transitions while preserving graphic precision. Circa 1950 - 1965.
