An Agra in wool, this expansive antique rug measures 12' 10" x 15' 2" and reads as a soft neutral field enlivened by cream patterning and a faint rose wash. The repeat of stylised palmettes and floral medallions is held within a pale geometric border, the design legible despite gentle, even wear. Low distress preserves clear outlines while subtle abrash and a muted wool sheen lend a tactile, lived-in surface. Circa 1900 - 1920, the piece combines measured scale and quiet colour to show the craft of age with restrained presence.
