An Agra woven in wool, this antique rug reads as a soft glow of gold and cream. The field carries a tight, all-over floral lattice with small palmettes and delicate arabesques, set beneath a broader gold border punctuated by narrow navy guard stripes. Surface abrash and medium distress have mellowed the contrasts, producing a warm, tactile patina that emphasizes the hand of age. Circa 1895 - 1910. The scale and subtlety of the pattern remain legible across 10' 6" x 13' 9", revealing both refined draft and a lived-in softness that rewards close inspection.
