The field’s delicate palmette and vine motifs sit against a warm neutral ground and are enlivened by brown and red accents. Low overall distress preserves a tactile pile and fine detail; subtle abrash gives measured variation to color. The scale and precision of the medallion reveal craft and age. This antique rug measures 8' 8" x 11' 4" and presents soft, even wear that complements its layered pattern and artisan palette. Circa 1885 - 1905
