An elegant Turkish wool rug in a compact 1' 4" x 1' 4" format, this antique rug presents a small central medallion on a jewel-blue field. Cream and white floral spandrels and a narrow neutral guard border frame the composition, the palette restrained and tactile. Surface wear is low; the pile retains a soft handle and colours remain even across the field, while edges show tidy original binding. The measured scale and disciplined motif set suggest mid-20th-century manufacture. Circa 1950 - 1970. The piece reads as a miniature study in proportion, texture and quiet craft.
