A wool Heriz with a soft, neutral field punctuated by a warm, faded red medallion geometry and russet-brown palmettes, enlivened by small blue accents. The open, angular composition reads across an ivory ground and is framed by a rust guard border. Surface abrash and even wear produce a dry, tactile patina that emphasizes handwork and time. This antique rug shows medium distress yet retains clear motifs and a quiet presence. Circa 1880 - 1900. Measurements: 9' 6" x 11' 3". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
