This Turkish wool rug, 10' 3" x 14' 0", reads as a study in softened colour and tactility. A restrained central medallion and scrolling foliate field sit on a warm cream ground, the design outlined in faded blue punctuation. Time has mellowed the wool to an even, tactile surface; abrash and medium distress lend a quiet depth to the motifs while the multi-band border remains legible.
