An Agra in a quietly worn, neutral register; this antique rug measures 6' 10" x 9' 10" and reads like a faded painting. A once-bright floral field has mellowed to layers of cream, warm brown, soft pink and muted teal, the wide floral border registering as a calm frame. Medium distress and even abrash reveal a lived-in wool patina, with surface thinning and haloing that soften the motifs without erasing them. The result is a tactile, heritage-forward object that holds time in its fibres. Circa 1910 - 1930. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
