An antique rug, a Ravar Kerman in wool, its allover palmette and arabesque field rendered in soft navy and tan. The 10' 0" x 20' 5" scale carries repeating floral medallions and layered borders softened by age. Subtle abrash and a warm neutral brown ground create a tactile, subdued surface; motifs read like a faded garden drawing. Circa 1920 - 1935. Medium distress lends an inherited patina: pile and edges are gently worn while the original design remains remarkably legible, offering a measured, heritage-aware presence tempered by time. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
