A generously scaled Ravar Kerman in wool, 15'8" x 24'6", rendered in a softened teal field with cream and ivory ornament. The allover palmette and vine arabesque plays across repeating cartouches, the pattern lifting from a quietly abrased ground. Time has mellowed the palette and smoothed the pile to a tactile, low-relief surface that reads as both graphic and lived-in. Details in the border remain articulate against the worn field, giving the piece a measured, heirloom presence. Circa 1910 - 1925. This antique rug reads as a study in restraint, texture, and the particular poetry of worn wool. Measurements: 15' 8" x 24' 6".
