The field carries a repeating stepped medallion chain layered over an angular floral lattice; crisp knife-like outlines and restrained secondary motifs give the surface a tactile, graphic energy. Wear is modest and even, preserving clear design and lively colour transitions across the field. The piece reads as an antique rug with a grounded presence and handworn patina. Circa 1885 - 1925. Measurements: 7' 10" x 10' 10". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
