This Mahal antique rug measures 9' 4" x 12' 6" and presents a softly aged field in olive green, balanced by muted red, teal, cream, gold, and brown. A central medallion anchors the composition, while dispersed floral and boteh motifs float across the open ground, giving the layout a measured rhythm. The border is richly drawn, with repeating geometric and floral detail that frames the field without overwhelming it. Circa 1880 - 1895, the wool surface shows low distress, with visible wear and tonal variation that lend the piece its layered character.
