This vintage rug bag measures 3' 4" x 4' 5" and carries a richly layered, timeworn presence. Circa 1900 - 1915, its field is filled with a dense allover lattice of small geometric floral motifs, framed by multiple border bands that alternate light and dark grounds. The palette settles into brown, red, and white / cream with muted touches that have softened over time. Visible fading, scattered wear, and surface thinning give the piece a strong sense of age and texture, while the overall composition remains readable and graphic.
