This Mahal antique rug measures 11' 0" x 15' 6" and presents a softly aged field of repeating floral latticework in washed celadon, aqua, and sand tones. A narrow border frames the composition with restrained floral accents, while the allover drawing remains delicate and balanced. The palette is muted and luminous, with the wool surface carrying visible wear, fading, and a time-worn patina that softens the design language. Circa 1885 - 1900, it reflects the quieter, more atmospheric side of the Mahal tradition, where ornament and restraint sit in close conversation.
